Job title: Teaching Assistant Level 2

Salary: WPT Band 3 £23114 - £23894 (£18707 - £19338)

Hours: 34 per week, term time including 5 additional days

Contract type: Permanent

Location: Woodland View Centre

As a Teaching Assistant, you'll be at the heart of our classroom, working hand-in-hand with our dedicated teachers to craft enriching learning experiences for our students. Your role will be diverse and engaging, encompassing a range of responsibilities designed to ignite curiosity and foster academic growth

 

 Responsibilities Include: 

  • Experience of supporting pupils with special educational needs.

  • A passion to support pupils to achieve their fullest potential

  • The skills to place pupil learning at the centre of all your practice.

  • The ability to reflect on and assess a child’s progress and celebrate in their success.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to enthuse and motivate others.

  • The ability to set appropriate and challenging targets for yourself and others.

  • A commitment to partnership between staff, parents and pupils.

  • An ability to make and take decisions both individually and as part of a team.

  • Assisting the class teacher in delivering engaging learning activities, using proven strategies to support pupils in achieving their learning goals.

  • Maintaining meticulous records to ensure accurate documentation of student progress and other administrative tasks to support classroom operations.

  • Assisting in pastoral care and implementing individual education plans (EHCPs), ensuring every student receives the support they need to thrive academically and emotionally.

  • Supporting the class teacher with clerical duties, from photocopying to creating engaging pupil displays, contributing to the smooth running of the classroom.
