Job title: Administration Level 3 - Learners First Leadership Programmes

Salary: WPT Band 4 £24294 - £25975 (£8674 - £9274 pro-rata)

Hours: 15 per week, term time plus 5 inset days

Contract type: Permanent

Location: Whiston Worrygoose Primary School

Who we are

Learners First is a successful school-led partnership based in South Yorkshire. Our main purpose is to provide training and professional development opportunities for teachers and staff across our network of school partners. This involves providing access to both online and face-to-face events through a range of workshops, seminars and courses, some lasting up to 18 months in duration. These include initial teacher training (ITT) for new entrants into the profession, specialist qualifications for teachers, nationally accredited programmes for Headteachers and Trust Chief Executive Officers as well as opportunities for school support staff and school/ Trust Governing Board Members. Over 1,000 members of the school workforce access Learners First courses each year and through these professional learning networks we aim to support and add value to the individual endeavours of schools, academies and multi academy trusts.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Administrative Support Specialist to join our team at Learners First. As an Admin Level 3, you will provide administrative and organisational support across the department to assist in the maintenance of the Trust’s fixed asset management procedures.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Support with the day to day operation of the office acting as first point of contact both face-to-face and over the telephone, communicating effectively with colleagues, Trust/School Leadersand internal/external stakeholders providing general advice and guidance ensuring all queries are dealt with appropriately

  • Undertake a range of administration and organisational tasks, using a variety of ICT packages and office equipment to provide a timely and accurate support service across the Trust/SchoolLeadership Development programmes

  • Assist with the maintenance and development of administrative procedures to enable effective operational delivery of support services

  • Accurately update and maintain complex systems, databases and spreadsheets and prepare and provide detailed management information reports in order to inform management decisions.

  • Assist with the arrangements for Learners First Continuing Professional Development Leadership Events including scheduling meetings/events and arranging travel for senior colleagues to ensure the efficient running of events. May be required to take minutes and provide accurate records of meetings

  • Assist with the administration of online learning sessions using web based communication and collaboration tools such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams etc, including taking electronic registers and supporting participant access

  • To order supplies for training programmes when necessary, ensuring colleagues have the correct equipment to carry out their role
