CONTRACT:Permanent

Are you an experienced and capable Teaching Assistant ready to take on more responsibility? We are looking for a Teaching Assistant Level 3 to become a key pillar of our classroom support team, helping to plan learning activities and stepping up to lead the class during teacher absences.
About WPT
At Wickersley Partnership Trust (WPT), we are fueled by a single commitment: 'We never knowingly do less for other people’s children than we would for our own.' As a thriving network of schools across South Yorkshire, we combine high expectations with embedded inclusivity. We do not work in silos; instead, we rely on deep collaboration and school-to-school support to ensure every student develops socially, emotionally, and academically to achieve the highest standards.
About the Role
As a Level 3 Teaching Assistant, your role goes beyond general support. You will work collaboratively with teachers to plan and differentiate lessons, ensuring that every child—regardless of ability—can access the curriculum. A key part of this position involves supervising whole classes during the short-term absence of the teacher, delivering pre-prepared work to ensure learning continues without disruption. You will also play a significant role in the assessment of pupils and the review of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), making this an ideal role for someone looking to make a deeper impact on student progress.
Responsibilities
Planning & Differentiation: Work with the class teacher in lesson planning to provide learning activities for individuals and groups, differentiating and adapting programmes to ensure individual needs are met.
Cover Supervision: Supervise the class during the temporary absence of the classroom teacher, delivering pre-prepared learning activities to ensure that pupil learning is not disrupted.
Assessment: Monitor and evaluate pupil performance against pre-determined learning objectives, providing regular feedback to the teacher and administering/marking routine tests in line with academy policy.
SEN Support: Contribute to the development and implementation of EHCPs, including attending and contributing to reviews to support pupils in response to their individual needs.
Environment: Establish and maintain an appropriate learning environment, selecting and adapting appropriate resources to facilitate agreed learning activities.
Behaviour Management: Support the organisation of pupils to ensure activities run smoothly; promote good behaviour and deal promptly with incidents, encouraging pupils to take responsibility for their own conduct.
Pastoral Care: Assist the class teacher with pastoral care to provide a supportive learning environment where individual needs are met.
Admin Support: Carry out clerical responsibilities to support the class teacher, such as photocopying, laminating, and creating pupil displays.
