We’re Wickersley Partnership Trust (WPT) - a multi-academy trust with eight primary schools, five secondary schools, one sixth form and one Central Team under our umbrella.
We’re dotted across Rotherham, South Yorkshire with one school based in Gainsborough, Lincolnshire.
At WPT, students are at the heart of everything we do, and we aim to send all children into an ever-changing world, able and qualified to play their full part in it. To give them the best educational experience possible, we recognise the importance of investing in and supporting our colleagues.
And that starts with finding the right person for the job!
Join our team as a Safeguarding Officer!
Are you passionate about supporting young people and ensuring their safety and wellbeing? We are looking for a dedicated Safeguarding Officer to join our thriving academy and support our Safeguarding Manager in championing child protection and welfare.
This is a vital role where every day brings new challenges and rewards. You’ll act as a key point of contact for safeguarding concerns, offering guidance and reassurance to staff and students alike. From handling sensitive disclosures to attending strategy meetings and coordinating action plans, you’ll be at the heart of our safeguarding provision.
You’ll work closely with external agencies, contribute to early intervention strategies, and carry out outreach work with families to offer practical support and advice. You’ll be instrumental in ensuring our safeguarding processes are not only compliant but also compassionate and effective.
Your ability to build trust, stay organised, and act with sensitivity and professionalism will be crucial. You'll also support the development of safeguarding knowledge across our staff and oversee the day-to-day work of our Safeguarding Administrator.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced safeguarding professional who is ready to take on an essential role in a vibrant and supportive educational setting.
