At WPT, students are at the heart of everything we do, and we aim to send all children into an ever-changing world, able and qualified to play their full part in it. To give them the best educational experience possible, we recognise the importance of investing in and supporting our colleagues.

And that starts with finding the right person for the job!

Join Our Team Teacher + SENDCO

Are you passionate about transforming the lives of young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)?

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and committed SENDCO / Teacher to join our dedicated team and make a meaningful difference.

As our SENDCO, you will take the lead in shaping and delivering outstanding SEND provision across the school. Working closely with the Director of SEND, SLT, staff, families, and external agencies, you will be at the heart of strategic planning, ensuring every child’s needs are identified, supported, and celebrated. You’ll champion inclusion, oversee SEND Support Plans, manage EHCP processes, and ensure we remain compliant with the SEND Code of Practice 2015 and the Equalities Act 2010. In your teaching role, you’ll plan and deliver engaging, adaptive lessons that meet the needs of all learners. You will monitor and track progress, set aspirational targets, and maintain clear, supportive communication with parents and carers. You'll be a vital part of the wider school community—contributing to assessment, pastoral care, behaviour management, and the broader curriculum.
