We’re Wickersley Partnership Trust (WPT) - a multi-academy trust with eight primary schools, five secondary schools, one sixth form and one Central Team under our umbrella.
We’re dotted across Rotherham, South Yorkshire with one school based in Gainsborough, Lincolnshire.

About WPT’s Satellite Provisions
WPT has invested heavily in its provision for students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) and additional needs, marking a significant shift towards more inclusive and supportive education within its schools.
The Trust currently operates several integrated Satellite Provisions for WPT students and Local Authority children and young people with Special Educational Needs, offering a bespoke curriculum and catering for students aged three through to 16. All satellite provisions are extensions of existing mainstream schools, at establishments including:
Woodland View at Monkwood Primary School, an age 3-6 unit and assessment centre for EYFS
Magna Lane at Foljambe Primary School, an age 4-11 integrated resource for SEMH needs
The Orchard at Brinsworth Whitehill Primary School, an age 4-11 integrated resource for communication and interaction needs
Arran Hill at Thrybergh Academy, an age 11-16 integrated resource for SEMH needs
Cranworth Road at Clifton Community School, mostly an age 13-16 integrated resource for SEMH needs
About the Role
The learning mentor role would be based at the Cranworth Centre. Students often display challenging behaviours and have been referred to the Centre as they are at risk of Permanent Exclusion. The learning mentor will be a great communicator and ideally have experience in safeguarding, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with parents and colleagues across multiple sites. It would be advantageous to have experience working with students with SEMH and SEND.
Number of Staff and Students
The Cranworth Centre accommodates up to 36 students across Key Stages 3 and 4. All students take GCSE subjects in KS4, and these are supplemented with AQA Awards.
**Opening Hours and Term-Time Operations **The Centre operates on a standard school day and term-time calendar, aligned with Trust secondary schools.
Students attend daily, following a structured timetable that includes:
Academic lessons
Therapeutic and life skills sessions
Enrichment and mentoring
Optional off-site vocational learning (e.g. Construction, Hair and Beauty)
**Safety, Supervision, and Safeguarding Measures **The provision is built on robust safeguarding protocols and supervision strategies, including:
Staff trained in de-escalation, trauma-informed practice, and SEND support
A high adult-to-student ratio ensures close supervision and strong relationships
Consistent routines, targeted interventions, and one-to-one pastoral support
Rigorous behaviour and risk management systems
Alignment with WPT’s safeguarding and SEND policies
