Salary: WPT Band 7 £33945 - £37336

Hours: 37 hours per week

Responsibilities Include

Financial Management, Reporting & Analysis

  • Strategic Reporting: Craft detailed reports for leadership teams, school leaders, and directors, using your keen analytical skills to interpret a wide array of data from multiple sources.

  • Budget Mastery: Collaborate with senior leaders to prepare the annual budget and closely monitor performance throughout the year.

  • Long-Term Planning: Play a pivotal role in shaping the Trust’s long-term financial strategy and planning.

  • Management Accounts: Prepare comprehensive management accounts, including insightful variance analysis and key performance indicators (KPIs).

  • Journal Management: Oversee the accurate posting of journals, including monthly accruals and prepayments.

  • Income & Expenditure Analysis: Conduct thorough financial analysis of current and future income streams, expenditures, and trends to inform strategic decision-making.

  • Governance Reporting: Work closely with Local Governing Bodies and Directors to produce tailored reports at various organisational levels.

  • Cash Flow Forecasting: Prepare detailed monthly cash flow forecasts and support the evaluation of potential investment opportunities.

  • Reconciliations & Reviews: Perform meticulous reconciliations between finance asset registers and physical inspection records, including regular impairment and obsolescence reviews.

  • Depreciation Management: Prepare precise monthly depreciation journals.

  • Budget Oversight: Manage and approve budgets for projects, trips, and any unplanned expenditures with a vigilant eye for detail.
