Salary: WPT Band 6 £31067 - £33366 ( £14790 - £15885 pro-rata)

Imagine a world where every corner is bursting with excitement and every activity sparks curiosity. As an Early Years Practitioner, you'll be the architect of this magical realm, crafting and maintaining an environment where little minds can thrive and explore safely.

You will provide support for our youngest children in the EYFS, the Teacher/Early Years Professional and the school in order to raise standards of achievement for all children in the EYFS, to encourage children to become independent learners, to ensure their safety and welfare and support the inclusion of children in all aspects of school life.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Under an agreed system of supervisions to be responsible for the planning, development and delivery of learning activities

  • To support individual children and groups, introducing activities and using a range of strategies to support all children in their learning.

  • To help pupils to access the full EYFS curriculum, at the same time promoting independent learning both inside and outside as well self-reliance and interdependence.

  • To observe children’s performance and engagement, using the systems in place in the class to provide the Teacher/Early Years Professional with feedback on pupil progress in order to evaluate children’s learning and understanding.

  • To be responsible for the assessment of needs and the development and implementation of ECHPS

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of appropriate planning, observation and assessment procedures

  • To help to maintain individual and group records using formative and summative assessment and recording.

  • To liaise with and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and parents and other professionals.

  • To help prepare and maintain an engaging, purposeful, orderly and supportive environment, selecting and adapting appropriate resources to facilitate agreed learning activities for learning both inside and outside.

  • To provide care with regard to the physical welfare of children including self-care and other personal needs of children and implement related personal programmes.

  • To share responsibility for supporting children and parents during the periods of settling in and transition.
