Job role: Cleaning Supervisor

Salary: WPT Band 3 £24404 - £25183 (£14523 - £14986)

Hours: 25 hrs per week, term time only plus inset days

Location: Rawmarsh Community School

Number of positions: 1

To commence: As soon as possible

Join Our Team as a Cleaning Supervisor!

Your role will be to supervise other cleaning staff and undertake cleaning duties for the effective operation of the cleaning service to ensure that the service runs smoothly whilst maintaining a high level of cleanliness within the academy that complies with health and safety regulations.

 

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Supervision of cleaning staff including organising rota’s, allocating areas of work and arranging cover for absent staff to ensure the cleaning service runs smoothly

  • Monitor work undertaken by cleaning staff, providing feedback and training where appropriate, to ensure that acadmey cleanliness is maintained to a high standard

  • Undertake cleaning of specified areas within set timescales to ensure hygiene standards are maintained

  • Operate and oversee the usage and storage of cleaning equipment and domestic products in order to comply with health and safety regulations

  • Ensure self and other cleaning staff are vigilant to risks and hazards and ensure these are reported correctly under COSHH in order to maintain a high level of health and safety

  • To be responsible for replenishing hygiene items, such as soap and towels, advising the designated purchaser on stock replenishment requirements

  • To maintain required cleaning records in order to comply with health and safety and school procedures

  • May be responsible for opening and closing the school site, this may include acting as a designated key holder
