About WPT
At Wickersley Partnership Trust (WPT), we are fuelled by a single commitment: 'We never knowingly do less for other people’s children than we would for our own.' As a thriving network of schools across South Yorkshire, we combine high expectations with embedded inclusivity. We do not work in silos; instead, we rely on deep collaboration and school-to-school support to ensure every student develops socially, emotionally, and academically to achieve the highest standards.
About the Role
As a Driver for the Trust, you will play a vital role in the daily lives of our students. You will be responsible for operating our fleet of specially adapted vehicles, ensuring that pupils arrive at the academy ready to learn. This role requires more than just driving skills; it requires patience, care, and strict adherence to safety protocols. You will be the first face many of our students see in the morning, helping to assist passengers with diverse needs and maintaining the high standards of our transport provision.

Assist in the loading and unloading of passengers and/or goods using appropriate equipment (including load restraint devices and hydraulic tail lifts) where required and in line with the Department of Transport Code of Practice.
Follow Health and Safety protocols (including conducting appropriate vehicular checks) to ensure the health, safety and well-being of children, reporting any incidents or issues appropriately.
Carry out basic, routine maintenance of designated vehicles and maintain a high standard of vehicle cleanliness, ensuring any mechanical faults are reported appropriately.
Report any involvement in a road traffic accident and vehicle defects in accordance with academy procedures.
The successful candidate must hold a full, clean UK Driving License
