Job title: Breakfast Club Assistant

Hours: 6.25

Salary: WPT Band 2 £22737 (£2706 pro-rata)

Contract type: Term time, plus 5 inset days

Location: Monkwood Primary School

Join Our Dynamic Team as a Breakfast Club Assistant!

Join our vibrant and welcoming community as a Breakfast Club Assistant, where you'll play a crucial role in ensuring our students start their day with a nutritious meal and a positive experience. This position offers the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our young learners by providing a supportive and engaging environment each morning.

 

Responsibilities Include

Meal Preparation and Serving: Assist in preparing and serving breakfast meals, ensuring all special dietary requirements are adhered to, and promoting healthy eating habits among pupils.

Supervision and Assistance: Oversee and assist pupils during breakfast, encouraging responsibility and cleanliness by guiding them to clear eating areas of food and debris.

Health and Safety Compliance: Perform essential cleaning tasks to maintain high health and safety standards within the academy.

Activity Supervision: Organise and supervise activities designed to develop social skills and self-discipline, ensuring equipment and materials are used effectively and stored safely.

Behaviour Management: Be aware of and implement the academy’s behaviour guidelines, addressing any misbehaviour appropriately and keeping the Breakfast Club Supervisor informed.

Security and Incident Reporting: Monitor designated areas, promptly reporting any incidents or security breaches to ensure the safeguarding of all pupils.

Care and Support: Provide attentive care and support to pupils, ensuring their welfare and hygiene needs are met.

First Aid Response: Respond immediately to any injuries, referring to the Breakfast Club Supervisor and following the academy’s policies and procedures.
